UN Women Public Event “Women and Their Role in Creating Peaceful Societies and in Preventing Violent Extremism”

Transforming gender social norms through comedy

On March 1, UN Women Public Event will be held at Sophia Tower in Yotsuya campus. UN Women was established in 2010 in order to enhance gender equality as well as women’s empowerment in order to accommodate needs of women and girls around the world. For this public event titled “Transforming gender social norms through comedy” the guests include PIKOTARO, who is a goodwill ambassador for promoting the SDSGs Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and other social influencers of Asian countries will attend to raise public awareness for women’s gender issues.
